Jesus tells his followers to “come follow me.” Fathers and their sons (13 and older) will try to follow that call as they gather Sept. 28 in the Portico at St. John, Westminster.
Sponsored by the parish’s Respect Life Committee, the afternoon will focus on what it means to be an authentic Catholic man today. The attendees will enjoy a men’s talk, a pizza banquet and a movie, as well as music, door prizes and more from 1:30 to 6 p.m.
Father D. Patrick Peach, associate pastor of the parish, will be the keynote speaker. Terence McCarthy, a parishioner and a member of the parish’s Respect Life Committee, and Brian Henderson, who has given talks at the Catholic Family Expo, will also speak.
