Father James Martin doesn’t like saying he has “fans” on Facebook. But, such is the case for the popular Jesuit who came to Baltimore last week to address people at St. Ignatius parish. Father Martin uses all forms of social media, including Facebook and Twitter, to communicate to people about the faith.
I asked Father Martin July 29 about why he uses social media and you can hear his answer below. He’s got a terrific answer. It’s something the Catholic Church, and admittedly us at The Catholic Review, are attempting to grasp. Social media can be powerful in getting a message out.
