Sister Mary Dulcis Pilachowska, C.S.S.F.

A funeral Mass for Sister Mary Dulcis Pilachowska, C.S.S.F., was offered May 5 at the Felician Sisters’ Infirmary Chapel, Our Lady of Lourdes Hall in Lodi, N.J. Sister Mary Dulcis died April 30. She was 95 and had been a sister for 77 years.

The former Josephine Pilachowska was born in Baltimore and entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi in 1930. She received the Felician habit in 1931 and professed final vows in 1938.

An elementary and high school teacher as well as a pastoral minister; Sister Mary Dulcis earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts at the Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in Religious Education at Providence College.

She taught at Holy Rosary, Baltimore from 1985-1986. Sister Mary Dulcis also taught at many other schools throughout New Jersey for most of her apostolic ministry.

Sister Mary Dulcis is survived by several nieces and nephews and members of her extended family.
