Sister M. Joellen Sabin, C.S.C.

A funeral Mass for Sister of the Holy Cross M. Joellen Sabin was offered Jan. 10 at St. Mary’s Convent in Notre Dame, Ind. She died Jan. 3 at age 88.

Born in Washington, D.C, Sister Joellen joined the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1945. An educator, taught in Fells Point at St. Patrick’s School from 1950 to 1956 and St. Patrick’s Orphanage from 1957 to 1959. She also taught in Pennsylvania, New York, Texas and the Washington, D.C., area.
