Sister Emily Peetz, OSU, dies

A funeral Mass for Ursuline Sister Emily Peetz was offered Jan. 8 at the motherhouse of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. Sister Emily died Jan. 2. She was 89.

A Nebraska native, Sister Emily joined the Ursuline community in 1943. She taught in Cumberland at Ss. Peter and Paul school from 1952 to 1956 and St. Mary school from 1956 to 1957. She also taught at schools in Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Carolina; served in a Minnesota parish; and volunteered in Louisville hospitals.
