Sister Dominica Widmer, O.S.U., dies at 77

A funeral Mass for Sister Dominica Widmer, an Ursuline Sister of Louisville, was offered Sept. 14 at the community’s motherhouse in Louisville, Ky. Sister Dominica died Sept. 11. She was 77.

A Louisville native, Sister Dominica entered the Ursuline Sisters in 1953. An educator, she taught in Cumberland at Ss. Peter and Paul from 1961 to 1966 and St. John Neumann from 1991 to 1993. She also taught in Kentucky, Nebraska and Pennsylvania.
