Sister Clarus Jonaitis, O.P., dies

A funeral Mass for Sinsinawa Dominican Sister Clarus Jonaitis was offered Oct. 23 at Queen of the Rosary Chapel in Sinsinawa, Wis. Sister Clarus died Oct. 19. She was 94.
A native of Kenosha, Wis., Sister Clarus professed first vows in 1940. She taught at the former parish school of St. Rose of Lima in Brooklyn from 1946 to 1948. During her 49 years as a teacher, she also served at schools in New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska and California.
