New use for school building positive news

As a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph’s Monastery School, I was excited to read (CR, April 19) that the school will be getting a makeover and will once again be a welcome and useful part of the community.

I feel a bit of sadness whenever I drive by and see it looking so forlorn and empty after the closing of St. Bernardine School. It is a shame that so many of our schools have had to close. I know there are a lot of others out there with a lot of good memories of St. Joseph’s Monastery School, like I have.
