Loyola Blakefield puts on murder mystery dinner show
Loyola Blakefield Players will stage a dinner theater production of “Sorry Wrong Number” and “The Hitch Hiker,” two short plays by Lucille Fletcher, May 7-10 at the Towson school. Originally a radio broadcast in the 1940s, the acclaimed plays were part of the “Suspense” series.
The plays will be presented as a simulated radio show that pays homage to its origins. The dinner each evening is catered by Carrabba’s of Hunt Valley and features a four-course menu.
The cast of 17 features students from Loyola Blakefield, Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson and Towson High School, as well as a live band of musicians.
“Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre” will be presented in the Father George Lounge of Wheeler Hall on the Loyola Blakefield campus May 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. A May 10 matinee will be held at 3 p.m. Dinner is served 90 minutes prior to each performance, and the $20 tickets must be purchased in advance at the Loyola School Store located in Knott Hall.
