Guard carrying collection money robbed outside St. Pius X

A guard working for Dunbar, an armored transportation service and security provider, was robbed outside of St. Pius X, Rodgers Forge, July 22.

Cpl. Mike Hill of the Baltimore County Police confirmed the robbery, saying it occurred at 1:52 p.m. Tuesday.

The guard was exiting the York Road church with what was believed to be collection money from this past weekend’s Masses, when he was approached by an African-American male and female, both of whom were armed.

After they grabbed the money bag, the pair ran off in the direction of nearby WMAR-TV Channel 2, Cpl. Hill said.

“Officers checked the area extensively,” but have not found the suspects, Cpl. Hill said.

St. Pius was referring all media interview requests to the Baltimore County Police.
