SUMMARY:Saint John Paul II Shrine to host special walking pilgrimage
DESCRIPTION:Since 2019\, the Shrine has hosted a special walking pilgrimage which draws up to 150 participants. Pilgrims will gather in Maryland and prayerfully walk to the shrine along a 7.5-mile route through Rock Creek Park. Parishes\, school groups\, families and individuals are invited to pray and sing in both English and Spanish. Tickets are $10 for individuals or $20 for families. https://www.jp2shrine.org/events/\nSchedule:\n• 8:30 am – 7.5-mile pilgrimage leaves from Christ the King Catholic Church at 2301 Colston Drive\, Silver Spring\, MD 20910\n• 10 a.m. – Rest at Picnic Grove 6\, Rock Creek Park; alternative 4.5-mile walk begins\n• 12 p.m. – Rest at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 26 Grant Cir NW\, Washington\, DC 20011; alternative 1.2-mile walk begins\n• 1 p.m. – Arrive at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine at 3900 Harewood Road NE\, Washington DC 20017\n• 1:30 p.m. – Mass at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine\n• 2:15 p.m. – Lunch\n• 3 p.m. – Prayer at the Hour of Mercy and the Sacrament of Reconciliation
