SUMMARY:Summer TMIY 2026
DESCRIPTION:“Lectio: The Case for Jesus\,” a video study program from the Augustine Institute presented by Brant Pitre\, Ph.D. Do you follow Jesus ‘on the way?’ Can we trust the Gospels? Do we really know who wrote them? Do the Gospels communicate truth\, or fabricated fables? Who is Jesus?  Join Dr. Pitre as he draws evidence from both early Christian and non-Christian writings attesting to the authenticity\, authorship\, and dating of the Gospels\, as he gives an in-depth look at the Gospel accounts of Jesus’s Crucifixion\, Resurrection\, and the proclamation of Christ’s divinity. Strengthen your faith so that you can not only stand firm and profess that Jesus truly is “the Christ\, the Son of the living God\,” but also confidently respond to any skeptics you encounter. Watch the trailer on Formed: app.formed.org/app/videos/1343209. We will meet 7—8:30a.m. in Cottage 1 next to the playground on the nine Saturday mornings of: May 30\, June 6\, June 20\,\nJune 27\, July 11\, July 18\, Aug. 1\, Aug. 8\, and Aug. 15. SUMMARY:People of Hope Museum
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\, \nWe are excited to share an important milestone in our mission — and a special invitation just for you. Don’t miss this moment on June 2 and 3! \nThis year\, Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) launched People of Hope: Faith-Filled Stories of Neighbors Helping Neighbors\, a national storytelling initiative built around a one-of-a-kind\, tractor trailer-sized traveling museum. The museum brings to life the humanity\, dignity and hope found in the stories of those we serve. People of Hope is made possible with support from Lilly Endowment Inc. \nAs a valued supporter and friend of Catholic Charities\, we would be honored for you to join us when the People of Hope Museum comes to our area from June 2-3 at Cathedral of Mary Our Queen\, located at 5200 N. Charles Street. Hours will be 11am-7pm on June 2 and 9am-5pm on June 3. To schedule a special group visit\, contact Andy Wayne\, Director of Communications\, at awayne@cc-md.org. \n  \nInside the People of Hope Museum\, visitors will find: \n\nFirst-person video stories about service from Catholic Charities staff and volunteers across the country\nInteractive poverty-simulation activities that help visitors understand the challenges many families living in poverty face\nAudio book excerpts on poverty\, social isolation and bridgebuilding from influential authors\nA recording booth where visitors can share their own stories of hope\, service and compassion\nOutside of the museum\, we will feature information and fun activities related to the Carolyn E. Fugett Intergenerational Center\, our new Catholic Charities program in West Baltimore. Visitors are requested to bring canned goods for the Center’s food pantry.\n\nTo learn more about the People of Hope Museum\, please visit peopleofhope.us. To watch a brief video about the museum\, visit People of Hope Museum video. \nFor more than 100 years\, Catholic Charities has walked alongside individuals and families in Maryland\, offering compassionate care and essential support during life’s most challenging moments. Your support and involvement makes this work possible — and we look forward to sharing this inspiring experience with you.
