SUMMARY:Latin Language\, Lyrics & Liturgy in Lent
DESCRIPTION:Latin Language\, Lyrics & Liturgy in Lent \nEver wondered about the Mass parts we sing in Latin during Lent\, what “tantum ergo” really means\, or what Latin’s relationship is to the Catholic Church and Liturgy? Or perhaps you have wanted to learn how to say some prayers or chant in Latin? \nPlease join us at 3:45 p.m. on Sundays in Lent in the Emmaus Room at St. Agnes Church for a discussion of the Latin language and its role in the Catholic Church and Liturgy. Dr. John J. Jefferson has a PhD in Late Medieval studies and has worked with Latin for decades\, to include the translation of Latin historical works into English. \nMarch 8: Latin Grammar\, a cursory look (Dr. John Jefferson)

SUMMARY:Unbind Him and Let Him Go Free - Weekend Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Jesus’ Healing Ministry of Forgiveness \nLike the people of Jesus’s time\, we are astonished by the “great deeds” of his miracles and cures. But we may not focus as much on Jesus’ healing ministry — the times he reaches out to touch someone’s isolation and spiritual brokenness. \nJoin us for a weekend of prayer and reflection as we ponder how allowing Jesus’ healing touch for ourselves invites us to reach out in compassion and forgiveness to “unbind” others. This weekend will include periods of silence as well as times for sacred sharing. There will also be limited times for individual spiritual direction. Guided by Joy Aker and Elaine Ireland.

SUMMARY:Stations of the Cross & Soup Supper
DESCRIPTION:Stations of the Cross & Soup Supper \nFridays Throughout Lent\, 6 p.m. \nMarch 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\nApril 3 \nWhat you’ll experience as we gather: \nThe Stations of the Cross (also known as the Way of the Cross or Via Dolorosa) serves as a “spiritual pilgrimage\,” where participants move from station to station to meditate on specific events of the Passion. At St. Ignatius the stations are sculptured engravings arranged at intervals around the walls of a church. Devotions will emphasize both the traditional language leading to Christ’s death and its sorrows easily found in our city of Baltimore where similar moments are played out today. Following the service will be the best Lenten meal in Baltimore\, prepared and served lovingly by parishioners. All are invited.

SUMMARY:O'Dwyer Retreat Center - A Lenten Morning Retreat on Listening
DESCRIPTION:This Lent\, we invite ministers and all adults seeking spiritual renewal to a morning of prayer and reflection. In the busyness of ministry and daily life\, our hearts can easily become crowded\, leaving little room to truly hear God and the people around us. \nRooted in the Lenten message of Pope Leo XIV\, who reminds us that every authentic path of conversion begins with listening—to God\, to His Word\, and to one another—this retreat offers space to pause\, reconnect with the Lord\, and rediscover listening as the beginning of genuine love. \nThrough prayer\, guided reflection\, and shared silence\, we will reveal what might be preventing authentic listening\, so we can practice listening differently. Together\, we will examine the interior habits\, assumptions\, and reactions that hinder true encounter\, embracing fasting not only from food\, but from presumption\, quick answers\, and the need to control—so that we may truly hear\, respond\, and love more deeply in our families\, workplaces\, ministries\, and communities. \nCome and “fill your cup” so you may return to daily life renewed in spirit and attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

SUMMARY:Caregiver Spiritual Refreshment Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Eucharistic Enablement team at St. Louis Parish invites those who care for persons with disabilities to join Fr. Rob and fellow caregivers for a short Spiritual Refreshment Retreat. Those interested in the vocation of caregiving may also participate. The retreat will be on Saturday\, March 21\, 2026\, about 8:30AM\, after the 8AM Daily Mass\, in the St. Louis main church. The retreat will conclude about 12:30PM with Benediction back in the main church. \nSo that you might be able to fully immerse yourself in the spiritual refreshment of this short retreat\, you may take advantage of care services for any dependents that may be with you. We will have a few of the conference rooms adjacent to the Social Hall set aside for the care services. We will have a few professional caregivers for general needs. If you prefer\, you may additionally have a trusted person stay with your dependent(s). Plan on providing your own snacks and drinks\, as well as any books or items your dependent might want. \nThis retreat is entirely for your benefit. There is no cost for this retreat.
