SUMMARY:40 Days For Life Annapolis - Spring Campaign
DESCRIPTION:Be a voice for vulnerable pre-born babies and their mothers by praying and fasting to end abortion! Stand vigil with us outside Planned Parenthood of Annapolis for just one hour during our spring campaign. \nBe a sign of help\, hope\, and life to a mother who thinks she has no other options. Former abortion workers report that up to 75% of abortion appointments are “no shows” when people are praying outside an abortion clinic.

SUMMARY:Novena of Grace
DESCRIPTION:Novena of Grace \nJoin St. Ignatius Community Church\, Baltimore in Praying the “Novena of Grace” from March 4–12. Francis Xavier was a friend and companion to Ignatius of Loyola and co-founder of the Society of Jesus. He was one of the first Jesuits to take vows of poverty\, chastity\, and obedience. Francis’ trust and confidence in a loving God and his willingness to follow God’s call to the ends of the earth offer inspiration and worthy examples for us even today. The Novena of Grace to St. Francis Xavier is prayed each year from March 4 to March 12. It is said to have first been prayed in Goa\, India in 1615 and grew in popularity after Francis was named a Saint in 1622. The petitions offered to St. Francis Xavier during this time of the Novena of Grace have resulted in many miracles. \n740 N. Calvert Street\, Baltimore\, MD 21202. \nView more information here

SUMMARY:Latin Language\, Lyrics & Liturgy in Lent
DESCRIPTION:Latin Language\, Lyrics & Liturgy in Lent \nEver wondered about the Mass parts we sing in Latin during Lent\, what “tantum ergo” really means\, or what Latin’s relationship is to the Catholic Church and Liturgy? Or perhaps you have wanted to learn how to say some prayers or chant in Latin? \nPlease join us at 3:45 p.m. on Sundays in Lent in the Emmaus Room at St. Agnes Church for a discussion of the Latin language and its role in the Catholic Church and Liturgy. SUMMARY:Unbind Him and Let Him Go Free - Weekend Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Jesus’ Healing Ministry of Forgiveness \nLike the people of Jesus’s time\, we are astonished by the “great deeds” of his miracles and cures. But we may not focus as much on Jesus’ healing ministry — the times he reaches out to touch someone’s isolation and spiritual brokenness. \nJoin us for a weekend of prayer and reflection as we ponder how allowing Jesus’ healing touch for ourselves invites us to reach out in compassion and forgiveness to “unbind” others. This weekend will include periods of silence as well as times for sacred sharing. There will also be limited times for individual spiritual direction. Guided by Joy Aker and Elaine Ireland.

SUMMARY:Stations of the Cross & Soup Supper
DESCRIPTION:Stations of the Cross & Soup Supper \nFridays Throughout Lent\, 6 p.m. \nMarch 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\nApril 3 \nWhat you’ll experience as we gather: \nThe Stations of the Cross (also known as the Way of the Cross or Via Dolorosa) serves as a “spiritual pilgrimage\,” where participants move from station to station to meditate on specific events of the Passion. At St. Ignatius the stations are sculptured engravings arranged at intervals around the walls of a church. Devotions will emphasize both the traditional language leading to Christ’s death and its sorrows easily found in our city of Baltimore where similar moments are played out today. Following the service will be the best Lenten meal in Baltimore\, prepared and served lovingly by parishioners. All are invited.
