DESCRIPTION:Loyola University Maryland will host a series of virtual conversations\, “Public Writing/Private Perceptions: The Vexed Issues Surrounding Flannery O’Connor and Race\,” this spring. \nThe 30-minute online moderated conversations will be held via Zoom and feature scholars who will delve into Flannery O’Connor’s legacy as a writer. DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand\, Baltimore Concert Opera will present two outdoor concerts this month\, titled BCO in the Open Air. The open-air\, bring-your-own-chair concerts will star soprano Christine Lyons\, mezzo-soprano Kate Farrar\, and bass-baritone Harold Wilson\, accompanied by pianist Joy Schreier. The concert will run 45-50 minutes and will feature an array of operatic favorites from Puccini to Tchaikvosky\, to classic musical theater hits. \nTickets are sold as “pods” which accommodate up to four people that will be placed 6-ft apart from one another. Social distancing and other safety measures will be in full effect for artists\, audiences and staff for all live BCO concerts this season.
