SUMMARY:St. Anthony Italian Festival
DESCRIPTION:Our 3-day street festival includes delicious Italian food and desserts\, vino and Italian/domestic beer\, live music\, booths packed with game wheels\, vendor market\, kids activities\, and more!\nThis historic festival started in 1904 by the residents in Little Italy during the Great Firei in Baltimore. As the fire was approaching Little Italy\, the residents took a statue of St. Anthony\, patron saint of Italians\, from St. Leo church and processed to the edge of the Jones Falls where they placed the statue of St. Anthony. The fires didn’t make it past\, and the parishioners of St. Leo made a solemn vow: if their homes and church were spared from the fire\, they would hold a yearly festival in honor of Saint Anthony.

SUMMARY:Summer TMIY 2026
DESCRIPTION:“Lectio: The Case for Jesus\,” a video study program from the Augustine Institute presented by Brant Pitre\, Ph.D. Do you follow Jesus ‘on the way?’ Can we trust the Gospels? Do we really know who wrote them? Do the Gospels communicate truth\, or fabricated fables? Who is Jesus?  Join Dr. Pitre as he draws evidence from both early Christian and non-Christian writings attesting to the authenticity\, authorship\, and dating of the Gospels\, as he gives an in-depth look at the Gospel accounts of Jesus’s Crucifixion\, Resurrection\, and the proclamation of Christ’s divinity. Strengthen your faith so that you can not only stand firm and profess that Jesus truly is “the Christ\, the Son of the living God\,” but also confidently respond to any skeptics you encounter. Watch the trailer on Formed: app.formed.org/app/videos/1343209. We will meet 7—8:30a.m. in Cottage 1 next to the playground on the nine Saturday mornings of: May 30\, June 6\, June 20\,\nJune 27\, July 11\, July 18\, Aug. 1\, Aug. 8\, and Aug. 15.
