DESCRIPTION:Bus seats are going fast for the Monday\, May 18\, birthday of St. Pope John Paul II. Join the Knights of Columbus on this birthday pilgrimage to the St. Pope John Paul II Shrine. The pilgrimage is open to all parishioners and Rev. Maurice Afor will be joining us. This is your opportunity to learn about this Great Pope whose pontificate was from 1978 to 2005. His pontificate was instrumental in ending the Cold War\, freeing Poland and Eastern Europe from the communist grip of Soviet Russia\, instituting the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and Divine Mercy Sunday\, giving Catholics the Luminous Mysteries of the Holy Rosary\, and brought the Gospels to billions in his worldwide travels. The Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy will be presenting a beautiful program on the life of this great Pope\, St. Faustina\, and the Divine Mercy. The cost for the pilgrimage is $40 per person (includes coach bus transportation\, lunch\, beverages\, and cake).
