Event Navigation
When Elizabeth Ann Seton came to the Emmitsburg Maryland area in 1809, she called the area St. Joseph’s Valley. In this living history experience, led by history interpreters in period costume, you’ll discover what life was like in the early 1800s and how the Sisters and students welcomed in the spring season. Enjoy hands-on activities, like learning colonial dances to live music, praying stations of the cross in the historic cemetery, feeding baby goats and rabbits, and more. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for young people ages 7 to 18. Free for children 6 and under. Tour times are 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Buy tickets at setonshrine.org.
