SS. Philip and James will be having a Mass for Peace and Justice in India with a special invited preacher. It is a fruit of the Dominican Order’s yearly Month for Peace (which was in December) and which this year focused on the needs of women, children and indigenous peoples in India. It is also a way to celebrate and support the Indian Catholic community — both residents and Johns Hopkins students — at the parish. The celebrant is Fr. Prakash Lohale, who is an Indian Dominican and is currently head of the Office of Ecumenical and Inter-religious Affairs of the Archdiocese of Toronto. He formerly Promoter of Justice and Peace of the Dominican Order worldwide.
