Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepard

May 8, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Frostburg State University proudly presents Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepard – a powerful masterwork that explores through music the importance of love and caring for one another. In 1998, Shepard, an LGBTQ student at the University of Wyoming was kidnapped, beaten, tied to a fence, and left to die. With inspirations from Bach to Broadway, the compelling message of this performance is still essential today and shows the significance of unity and recognizing those who feel marginalized. The FSU Chamber Singers, in collaboration with the FSU Department of Theatre & Dance and community partners, will perform this limited engagement at St. Ignatius Catholic Community in Baltimore on Sunday, May 8 at 3pm. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Make reservations by going to: https://frostburgtix.universitytickets.com/w/event2.aspx?id=1647&r=29af68551a5643a68d579906ca55e2d9
