Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.
A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.
Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

Uncovering the Blessings of the Caregiver Journey – A Day of Retreat & Reflection
This autumn, spend some intentional time in sacred community with fellow caregivers being reaffirmed and supported as a caregiver for someone with a long-term illness or condition. This retreat utilizes a lens for understanding and naming the spiritual dimension of the caregiver role and its myriad experiences and is tailored to uplift participants who may or may not provide hands-on care for their loved one, but who are involved in their lives. Topics that will be explored are intrinsic to the caregiver journey, especially the necessity of self-care and compassion, burnout, family dynamics, grief, and the often-conflicting emotions that accompany this reality.
Throughout the program, participants will be invited to engage in storytelling, prayer/meditation, writing, and other exercises that validate the caregiver’s experience and provide therapeutic tools for the ongoing commitment of caregiving. The morning session will envelop the themes of caregiver grief, healing, and hope within each participant’s respective circumstances, while the afternoon session will concentrate on caregiver endurance and renewal. Resources will be offered related to what is examined. A journal is a great companion for this program. Lunch is included. Guided by Gordon Creamer.
