College of Notre Dame names new posts

College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Baltimore, has named Carolyn Boulger Karlson, associate vice president of weekend, accelerated and graduate programs. Dr. Karlson is a parishioner of St. Pius X, Rodgers Forge, and former dean of graduate studies at Notre Dame.
In her new post, Dr. Karlson will provide leadership for the programs that serve nontraditional students. She holds a doctorate in mass media from Michigan State University, a master of science in journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, and a bachelor of arts in communication and economics from Simmons College.
Notre Dame has also selected Sally A. White as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty. Dr. White will also hold the appointment of professor in the psychology department. An accomplished scholar, her career spans 19 years. She holds a doctor of philosophy from University of New Mexico, a master’s in physical education and psychology from University of Texas, and a bachelor’s degree from Greenwich University in England.
