Catholic Review should have more HHS coverage

I am perplexed and grieved as to why the Catholic Review is not providing more coverage as to the church’s continuing battle with President Barack Obama and his attack on the Catholic Church via the HHS mandate. Not only is this the biggest attack of religious liberty in our lifetime, it has specific dire consequences for the church that will make her either shut down in the USA or violate her own magisterium.

I am also concerned as to why Catholics are not being catechized from the pulpit as to the tenets of their faith. If they were, last minute letters from the USCCB would not need to be inserted inside church bulletins begging parishioners for social action to combat these types of attacks on our church.

Catholics would know how to vote because they would know the truth of Jesus Christ since they would be hearing it every Sunday from when they were small children. Jesus said, “I will give you another advocate, to be with you always, the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it.”(John 14:17)

The Holy Spirit has protected our churches doctrine. Why is it not being preached from our pulpits every Sunday so that we can go out and continue to be salt and light to this nation?

Instead, the church is allowing political figures who proclaim to be Catholic to lead the way.

Jesus himself said that he alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). Why are we operating as if this is not so?
