Rooted in the words of the Mass, this theme calls us to Lift Up Our Hearts to God, Unite in Hope as a faith community, and embrace our shared mission of Service. Through the Annual Appeal, we fund the ministries that care for the poor, educate the young, and share the Gospel.

It invites everyone in the Archdiocese to respond with open hearts and generous hands by not only giving, but also by growing in faith and service together.

Appeal gifts are never used for purposes other than those stipulated in the Appeal Spending Plan, as depicted in this End of Year Summary.

Your contributions to the Annual Appeal are securely managed as part of a separate, perpetual, and irrevocable trust established in 1992, exclusively used for these vital ministries and restricted from being used for any other purposes.

A Prayer for Unity, Hope and Service

Heavenly Father,
You are the source of every good gift and the giver of all that we have.
Out of love, You gave us Your Son, who offered Himself completely for our salvation.

As we take part in this year’s Annual Appeal,
open our hearts to imitate that same spirit of sacrifice.
Teach us to give not from what is left over,
but from the first fruits of our blessings,
trusting that You will provide for all our needs.

May our gifts – offered in faith and love –
strengthen the ministries of our Church,
serve the poor and the vulnerable,
and build up the Body of Christ in our community.

Lord, make our generosity a true act of worship,
so that in giving, we may more closely follow
the example of Your Son, Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.

Amen.
