MISSION: To assist in the formation
of qualified students with respect to their educational needs, Women's Education Alliance (WEA)
will provide scholarships to Catholic Community Schools (grades Pre-K-8) in high-risk areas of Baltimore City. WEA will further assist with
adjunct services and school related activities as an added enhancement to a student's academic experience (including, but not limited to,
the cultural, spiritual, physical and social arenas). WEA will work closely with school administrators and principals to stay abreast
of scholarship needs and to assess the best possible utilization of all gifts and hands-on support by contributing sponsors and donors.

Annual Fall Luncheon
Over 200 attended the annual WEA fall luncheon in mid-October. Many toured the newly renovated Archbishop Borders School in Highlandtown as well as listened to the encouragement of Archbishop William Lori as he championed our efforts to provide scholarships for willing students to attend Catholic Community Schools in the most challenged areas of Baltimore City. We welcomed Dr. Carolyn Woo, CEO of Catholic Relief Services, who gave an inspiring talk on “The Grace of a Catholic Education”.
Stay tuned for more exciting events and the independent WEA website due to be online summer 2013. You too can help make a difference in a child’s life.
