Our Lady of Grace School

ABOUT OUR LADY OF GRACE SCHOOL OLGS offers a Pre-K through 8th grade co-educational and faith-based education, nestled in the rolling hills of Parkton, MD.

As a STEM, and National Blue Ribbon School, we are dedicated to excellence in education, while inspiring a love of learning in our students. We believe an education is not just academic learning, but the formation of a child’s character.

We are a close-knit community and an extension of your family. We prepare our students to embrace leadership at a young age, developing their potential for a meaningful life. OLGS believes the values of the Catholic faith are a foundation for a successful educational environment.

Core beliefs are reinforced at school, which include service in the community, treating others with respect, and gratitude for our blessings. These values are constantly reinforced leading to an educational environment steeped in respect.

AREAS OF DISTINCTION A Catholic education is distinct in nature because it goes beyond academic excellence and includes the ideal goal of developing the spiritual dimension of every human being. At Our Lady of Grace, we help each student develop an understanding of his/her responsibilities to God, family, self, and the larger community.

We celebrate our achievements and areas of focus including:

  • Partnerships with Loyola University and Notre Dame of Maryland University;
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) School with Stanford 10 scores in the top 30% in the US;
  • Advanced Math Program with Stanford 10 scores in the top 20% by 8th grade;
  • Karl Heldrich Reading Center (KHRC) with dedicated literacy/reading intervention;
  • Enrichment programs (after-school) include acting, art, chess, dance, etiquette, golf, and running;
  • Volunteer outreach programs served by each class;
  • Middle school prayer partners matched to elementary school students;
  • Engaged parents and family-friendly events;
  • Maryland Green School Award for environmental stewardship.
