Parish Center to be Dedicated at Our Lady of Grace, Parkton by Cardinal William H. Keeler

Our Lady of Grace Parish will celebrate the Blessing and Dedication of the new parish center on Sunday, September 17, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. by Cardinal Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore.

Festivities will begin with Cardinal Keeler celebrating Mass and Pastor Monsignor Nicholas Amato concelebrating. Immediately following, a procession of representatives of 32 parish community ministries will lead from the Church to the new parish center where Cardinal Keeler will offer a prayer of dedication and blessing. A wooden sculpture will be unveiled, entitled “Blessed Mother Mary and the Children.” In addition, twelve crucifixes and six crosses with Madonna will be blessed and solemnly placed in each of the classrooms and offices.

The parish center houses the education center, the parish hall, and parish offices to serve the needs of the 1,300 registered families belonging to Our Lady of Grace Parish. Our Lady of Grace School, located in the education center, which opened its doors just last week, is the first Catholic parish elementary school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore to open in 35 years.

Media are invited to attend the celebration. For more information, contact Barbara Shank, Publicity Coordinator for Our Lady of Grace Parish, (410) 472-2823.
