Catholic/Orthodox Dialogue - July 9-19, 2000
The eighth plenary session of the Joint International Commission for the Theological Dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church was held at Mount Saint Mary's College and Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, USA from July 9 to 19, 2000. The Commission was hosted with great generosity by Cardinal William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, with the assistance of the President, Rector and others of Mount Saint Mary's College and Seminary.
Jubilee "Creation" Concert - March 26-27, 2000
In the grand Jubilee year 2000, His Holiness Pope John Paul II wished to demonstrate the universality of the Millennial celebration and the openness of the church to peoples of all great monotheistic faiths, by commissioning Maestro Gilbert Levine, KCSG, to organize and conduct a Papal Concert to Commemorate the Millennium on May 18, 2000, the Pope's 80th birthday, and surrounding that, a series of special concerts performed in cities which exemplify His Holiness' commitment to foster interfaith dialog and reconciliation in the era to come.
Jubilee 2000

Papal Visit to Baltimore 1995
The Holy Father visited the Archdiocese of Baltimore on October 8, 1995. While in Baltimore, Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and had lunch with Cardinal Keeler and Baltimore-area families at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. He also addressed respresentatives from Catholic Relief Services and addressed a congregation gathered at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore before departing from the Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
