Cardinal Keeler to Address Media Upon Return from Rome

Cardinal William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving for Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday, May 1 at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, located at 5200 N. Charles Street in Baltimore.

Microwave/satellite truck parking is permitted on the sidewalk leading up to the Cathedral or on the pavement adjacent to the plaza (Charles Street). No trucks will be permitted on the driveway in front of the Cathedral or on the plaza stones. Other media vehicles may be parked on the lots to the North or South of the Cathedral.

Live Shots/Interviews
Unless cleared by the Director of Communications for the Archdiocese or a Cathedral staff member, all live shots and interviews must be conducted on the plaza side of the driveway in front of the Cathedral. No interviews will be permitted to take place on the front steps or on the sidewalk in front of the Cathedral.

Media Seating
Media are welcome inside the Cathedral to observe/participate in the Mass--no interviews will be permitted inside the Cathedral.

Live Coverage
Any station(s) wishing to cover the Mass live, must contact the Archdiocese as soon as possible. Multiple stations wishing to cover the Mass live will result in pool coverage that is to be coordinated by the stations involved, with consultation from the Director of Communications and the Cathedral staff.

Thank you for your adherence to these guidelines, which will enable those attending Mass to do so without distraction and those providing coverage of the Mass the access they need to do their jobs effectively.
