Strom Named Human Resources Director
The Archdiocese of Baltimore announced today that Mr. Leonard Strom, 58, of Cockeysville, has been named Director of Human Resources for the Archdiocese. Mr. Strom retired in March of this year from the Black and Decker Corporation, where he worked for 20 years, serving 18 years as the company’s senior vice-president of human resources. He also serves on the Archdiocese’s Independent Review Board on Child Abuse and Board of Financial Advisors.
“I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to work for the Church on a full time basis,” Mr. Strom said. “My experience as a part-time volunteer has been extraordinarily rewarding.”
As Director of Human Resources, Mr. Strom has responsibility for Archdiocesan-wide human resources policies and programs covering all of the employees of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
“Len brings a tremendous amount of experience and integrity to this most valued position,” said Cardinal William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore. “He is a man of strong faith and he is committed to the welfare of the Church in Baltimore and the people it serves.”
Parishioners at the Church of the Nativity, Mr. Strom and his wife Susan have four children: Christopher Strom of Baltimore, Brian Strom of Chicago, Sarah Feiss of Baltimore and Erin Strom of Baltimore. Sarah is a teacher at Notre Dame Preparatory School and Erin is a teacher at the Cathedral School in Baltimore.
Mr. Strom holds a B.A. degree from Marian College in Indiana.
