‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Mark25-35

To provide easy access for inmates and their families to get effective help from the prison ministries which best serve their needs. They can find counseling services in their area, or simply request prayer support.

Four Areas of Organization:

  • Training/Education
  • In-Prison Ministry
  • Support Services (Prison Ministry Council)
  • Transition/Re-Entry

The American Catholic Correctional Chaplains Association (ACCCA) has an accreditation program to train in-prison ministers. Also, the St. Vincent de Paul has monthly workshops on a Saturday morning to help inmates who were to be released begin the process of finding housing and other support services after they are released.
