Purpose: To serve as a collaborative catalyst for the development of the vision, resources, initiatives and when necessary, the programming for the formation and continuing education of parish and school ministry leaders.
 

The following services are offered by or work in collaboration with the Division of Ministry Formation & Development:

Baltimore Pastoral Associates - The Pastoral Associates Association is composed of professional lay ecclesial ministers who are committed to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and who serve in a broad range of responsibilities. As an association we:

  • Promote the profession/ministry of Pastoral Associates among our members and among the clergy, lay ecclesial ministers, and leadership of the archdiocese
  • Encourage and assist in the professional development and ongoing formation of Pastoral Associates through assistance, support, prayer, faith sharing, and the exchange of ideas
  • Promote the work and advocacy of NALM, the National Association for Lay Minstry, through affiliated membership In collaboration with others, we are co-workers in the vineyard of the Lord, building up the Body of Christ in our midst.

Church Leadership Institute - The Church Leadership Institute is the vehicle for enabling individuals to prepare for leadership in the church through developing their theological understanding, personal and spiritual formation and ministerial leadership skills.

Hispanic Pastoral Formation Institute - The Hispanic Pastoral Formation Institute is a formation program for the pastoral ministry of lay leaders.
