We are beginning to plan upcoming training dates. Host a two-session training for marriage prep leaders for sponsor couple or Pre-Cana programs, and train one couple free! Email Lauri, lprzybysz@archbalt.org

Your parish can reach out to newly marrieds even if you can’t put on a full-fledged program with a resource they get at home after the wedding. Include a one-year subscription @ $12.50 to FOUNDATIONS newlywed newsletter with the marriage preparation fee. A sample of FOUNDATIONS is included in every Sponsor Couple packet. (If the parish partners with the Archdiocese for large group program administration, FOUNDATIONS is part of the package.) Please explore the attractive new resource that is part of the National Catholic Initiative for Marriage. See upbeat responses from couples: “What have you done for your marriage today?” Encouragement, guidance and education for couples of all ages and stages.

Coming in Fall 2008, the U.S. Bishops will publish a pastoral letter encouraging all parishes to support marriage across the lifespan. Your parish will want to be involved.
