40 days for life logoPray and Fast during 40 Days for Life.  Join with thousands of people across the country praying in their parishes and outside abortion clinics for women and their babies who in danger of abortion, men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion, workers at abortion clinics, and local, state, and national leaders who misguidedly support abortion.  The Archdiocese is sponsoring a prayer vigil site at Hillcrest Clinic in Catonsville.  Please consider joining us in peaceful, prayerful vigil.

building-a-culture-of-lifeUse resources from Building a Culture of Life with Middle and High School Students.  The Division of Youth and Young Adult Ministry and the Respect Life Office are excited to offer this new resource to all educators.  It includes suggested activities, homily notes, lesson plans, and respect life issue resources. 

giftsCome to the Respect Life Mass. Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien will celebrate this Mass at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen on October 24.

Project Rachel logoAttend Pregnancy Loss, Sexual Trauma & Unresolved Grief.  Project Rachel is offering this continuing education clinical training conference on September 24th, 2010 at Loyola University Graduate Center in Columbia Maryland.  Psychologists, Counselors, Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses, Physicians, Pastoral Care Ministers, Faculty, Students, and the General Public are all welcome.  6.5 Continuing Education credits are available through the Maryland Nurses Association, the National Association of Social Workers and the American Counseling Association. 

Gabriel Network 5KParticipate in the 5K Walk/Run for Life or Family Fun Mile in partnership with the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program.  This walk/run event for the whole family at Meadowbrook Park in Ellicott City on September 11, 2010 will support the Gabriel Network's Campaign for Pregnant Women Facing Homelessness.  The Respect Life Office of the Archdiocese is sponsoring this important event.  100% of proceeds support the Gabriel Network Maternity Home Program ($25 fee for adults, $15 for children).

helpers processionFinish the 40 Days for Life at the Helper's of God's Precious Infants Procession on Saturday, October 30.  Following Mass and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Alphonsus, we will process through Baltimore praying for God's precious infants, their families, and those who threaten their lives.  Following prayer at Planned Parenthood on Howard St., we will return to St. Alphonsus for Benediction.  For those unable to walk in the procession, please remain and pray during a Holy Hour for Life at St. Alphonsus.  For more information, please contact
