"An adult community whose faith is well-formed and lively will more effectively pass that faith on to the next generation."

From Our Hearts Were Burning within Us

What is Why Catholic?

Why Catholic? is a four year adult faith formation process that is generating a lot of energy and discuss around the beliefs and practices of our Catholic faith tradition.  Offered in over one-third of the parishes of the Archdiocese, Why Catholic? utilizes sound adult learning methodology through small group sharing that helps adult disciples deepen their faith and grow in their Catholic identity by connecting the teachings of the Church to the everyday life of Christian discipleship.

Each year 12 faith topics are explored through study, discussion, prayer and action steps.  The aim is to foster within the whole of parish life a culture of maturing adult faith and discipleship.  When men and women of faith rekindle an enthusiasm for the richness and diversity of Catholicism, and become comfortable with the faith sharing process the Good News of Jesus Christ is shared.

Come and see the difference that faith learning, sharing and living can make for you too!
