Charismatic Renewal CenterMISSION: Corinthian Spiritual Manifestations Should Be Encouraged in the Church

"…I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God…" 2 Tim 1:6
Spiritual manifestations / gifts listed in 1 Corinthians evidence the Holy Spirit is ministering to the Church in power. The Charismatic Renewal Center intends to:

  1. Encourage openness to God dealing with His Body, the Church in these ways.
  2. Encourage people to experience the Holy Spirit in this charismatic dimension (release of the Spirit / Baptism in the Holy Spirit).
  3. Facilitate communication between charismatic individuals and groups
  4. Support spiritual gifts in prayer groups and individuals who have attended Life in the Spirit Seminars, Alpha Courses, Disciples in Christ, or in any other way have experienced or desire to experience the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Individually and corporately we need His supernatural power in these challenging times -- personally, socially, economically, spiritually. The Body of Christ desperately needs every part to function optimally. That may mean stepping out of our comfort zones -- in Love.

Prophetic & Observations

There is evidence that the Spirit is working in our Church, in our time. Recent Baltimore prophetic imagery alludes to log fires and the environment. There are embers leaping into flame when placed into pure oxygen atmosphere. The challenge for the Church at the local level is to create that environment.

Life in the Spirit Seminar

If you are open to the possibility that you can deepen your personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, come attend a Life-in-the-Spirit Seminar. It will change your life! It has for over 100 million Catholics worldwide, including priests, religious and laity, who are living a life with a heightened awareness of the Holy Spirit filling their lives.

Life in the Spirit Seminars
The Life in the Spirit Seminar is being offered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4795 Ilchester Road Ellicott City, Md. 21043 in the OLPH Parish Center, triple rooms. The Archdiocese Prayer meeting on Trinity Sunday met at St Ambrose. Many thanks to Fr. Paul Zaborowski for accommodating us so graciously.

The youth choir from St Joseph’s in Emmitsburg provided worship music. Leo Rudegeair from Christlife headed the Word gift ministry. Most of the prophetic words can be found here. Dr. Bob Sawyer shared some of the recent developments in the Renewal in our region. He stressed John Paul II’s prophetic message for the new millennium: the call to personal holiness, our need to depend upon the Holy Spirit, and a need for evangelism. JD McGurn of Thorncross Ministries directed the healing ministry with members of healing teams from various prayer groups throughout the Archdiocese.
