Ash Wednesday Mass Schedules Announced 2005

Cardinal William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, and his auxiliary bishops, Bishop W. Francis Malooly and Bishop Mitchell T. Rozanski, will celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass as follows:

Cardinal Keeler
St. Alphonsus, Saratoga Street and Park Avenue, Baltimore, 12:10 p.m.

Bishop Malooly
The Catholic High School of Baltimore, 2800 Edison Highway, Baltimore, 10:10 a.m.

Bishop Rozanski
St. Clare, 714 Myrth Avenue, Essex, 7 p.m.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40-day period when the Catholic Church asks the faithful to give themselves to prayer and to the reading of the Scripture, to fasting and to giving alms, in an effort to sharpen their senses and focus mind and heart on the reign of God.
