Welcome to the Office of the Archbishop
As chief shepherd of the Church in Baltimore, the Archbishop is responsible for the pastoral care of more than 500,000 Catholics worshiping in more than 150 parish communities and 30,000 students learning in 70 Catholic schools in the Premier See. The Office of the Archbishop has canonical and legal responsibilities associated with the administration of the Archdiocese. These are carried out at the Central Services office, the Catholic Center, which is located in downtown Baltimore. The Archbishop heads the Executive Office of Central Services and is assisted by the Neumann Vicar, the Seton Vicar, the Chancellor, and the Vicar General & Moderator of the Curia.
