If a sickness, injury, or pregnancy forces you to stop working, you may be eligible for disability benefits. Your disability benefits are provided through CIGNA.
The plan offers Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits.
STD pays you 60% of your basic weekly salary for absences lasting up to 26 weeks (in combination with sick leave).
LTD pays you 60% of your monthly pay, up to a maximum of $5,000 per month, for absences longer than 26 weeks.
No disability benefits are payable if an employee becomes disabled within the first six months of being a benefit eligible employee. Your direct employer pays the full cost of your disability benefits.

Family members are not eligible for disability coverage.
