Archbishop's Lenten Appeal 2008

The Archbishop's Lenten Appeal is the one time during the year when all parishes in the Archdiocese of Baltimore come together to help those most in need. The assistance provided through the Lenten Appeal takes many forms including tuition assistance, serving the poor and less fortunate and assisting parishes in critical need of capital repairs.

In a program begun during the 2001 Appeal many parishes took Christ's call to "serve the least of our brothers" to heart. These "financially blessed" parishes chose to give all, or a portion, of the funds they would have received through the Cardinal's Lenten Appeal to partner in ministry with those parishes where needs are great and resources are limited. Great blessings have been realized by both parishes in these partnerships.
